Kansai University’s Senriyama Campus (Suita City, Osaka) will host JADH2019, a 3 days annual conference of the Japanese Association for Digital Humanities between 29 -31st August, 2019.
The conference theme for 2019 is “Localization in Global DH.” Rapid globalization and a growing digitalization of resources bring the field of digital humanities new challenges that are highly intertwined with local specificities like language, resources, and past historical realities. KU-ORCAS researchers will present several scientific papers in the conference that deals with some of those challenges faced by the field of humanities.
Moreover, KU-ORCAS will host a parallel event “East Asian Studies and DH,” an International Symposium that is scheduled on 30th August.
